Welcome
SONQO means HEART in Quechua. An open heart receives wisdom. Connected by wisdom, we humans can move mountains and realize visions - just as the Incas in Peru once created magical wonders of the world.
celebrate life
PACHAMAMA CACAO IS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHTThe Pachamama Cacao opens the heart – gentle, peaceful and powerful at the same time; as Daily Cacao it strengthens the focus of manifestation in work and sport. It also activates leisure, joy, basic trust and enjoyment for the arts, yoga, meditation and a fulfilling sex life. And of course it should not be missed when celebrating festivals and parties! Experience the Cacao Chuncho also at one of the SONQO events.
celebrate participation
SONQO strengthens people’s confidence that it is possible to live a hearty life out of abundance, as part of holistic cycles, without renunciation, doubt and lack. However, this shift from thinking in terms of scarcity to abundance begins within the individual: Various priorities need to be set fundamentally differently.
THE SWEET CHOCOLATE LIFE HAS A DOWNSIDE:
A SOCIAL BLIND SPOT
Blind spots in tradition and culture are persistent: they limit individuals and the communal living space. A major blind spot in our society is the unspoken taboo that practically every bite of chocolate destroys Amazonian regions. Despite labels and certificates, the vast majority of chocolates and cocoas come from plantations, i.e. from areas where biodiversity is minimal and animals and insects have lost their habitat. SONQO offers you numerous opportunities to explore this blind spot in a solution-oriented, fun and collaborative way.
celebrate simplicity

SONQO’s Pachamama Cacao is hand-picked at the foot of the mystical Machu Picchu and in the middle of the intact Peruvian jungle, fermented in the open air and dried in the sun. It is roasted in a factory and made into bars with loving care. It couldn’t be more natural!
YES TO AN INTACT AMAZON
Consistently holistic production does not need labels or certifications that stand for partial solutions. That is why SONQO’s packaging is completely free of them. The natural production of the superfood has even more advantages: Pachamama Cacao can easily be prepared with water. The Incas also enjoyed their jelly just as
pure. This is because cow’s or plant milk of any kind forms a mist between you and your heart. This prevents you from experiencing the heart-opening power of cocoa. If you still want a change, replace the water with fruit juice – yummy!
Order your natural superfood from the comfort of your own home:
celebrate superfood
WILD-GROWN PLANTS CONNECT PEOPLE WHOLLY WITH BODY, MIND AND SOUL.Natural superfood from SYNTROPIC JUNGLE CARE should not be packed in aluminum, airtight jars or in plastic, but in paper, cardboard or protected with a cork lid; if the jelly can breathe, then it matures like a wine and the effect becomes even better with time. Important: You will receive your SONQO jelly in a practical cardboard box so that you can finely chop the cocoa bars with a kitchen knife and store the ready-to-use portions at room temperature (18-20 degrees).

celebrate chuncho
CHUNCHO means WILD in Quechua. Come with us on a journey back in time to the beginnings of chocolate: CACAO CHUNCHO is an ancient resistant variety that has been enjoyed daily in Peru since before the Incas. It does not like to be grown on plantations. It thrives best in the biodiversity of an intact jungle. The juice, flesh and beans of a single fruit can thus unfold a wealth of around 300 nutrients and trigger an explosion of up to 600 flavors on the palate.
WILD MANIFESTS ITSELF WHEN IT CAN UNFOLD FREELY ACCORDING TO ITS INNER NATURE – WILDNESS CAN BE AS GENTLE AS A BLOSSOM.
SONQO encourages people to manifest their own inner nature freely, purely and at the same time full of respect for culture, gender and life situation of themselves and others; in a MUNAY CEREMONY or during a MUNAY CELEBRATION we express inner freedom and celebrate life – you are very welcome!
syntropic jungle care

AN INTAKED DESTINY NO LONGER BRINGS PEOPLE RESOURCES FOR PROFIT, BUT FULLNESS & CONFIDENCE: A LIVING SPACE FULL OF LOVE & VIBRITY, FREE FROM CONTROL & STRATEGY.Are we humans ready for abundance? Does it overwhelm us? We can react to overwhelm with rejection, struggle and control (divisive focus of emotion), or we can be curious and adventurous (unifying focus of compassion). SONQO is based on the Swiss Ernst Götsch’ s “Syntropic Farming” method. He lives in the Amazon in Brazil and has translated the basic principles of permaculture into the South American jungle. His method generates a high complexity of horizontal and vertical cycles. Syntropic farming can return a controlled area (plantation) to the high biodiversity of an intact jungle in a very short time. However, SONQO’s charitable projects in Peru operate under the name “Syntropic Jungle Care”. In this way, SONQO raises awareness of the fact that humans do not use the jungle for profit in a controlling manner, but instead primarily take care of it. The non-profit organization SONQO offers training and further education in the jungle and in the Andes, aimed at Peruvian farming families and also at interested people from Europe.
celebrate pachamama
Without the diversity of opposites, we cannot experience wholeness: In Peruvian cosmology, the earth goddess Pachamama represents the all-encompassing and the balance between the underworld and the upper world. In this sense, the third level – earthly coexistence – embodies the exploration of the peaceful middle way, which indigenous peoples call SUMAK KAWSAY.
SUMAK KAWSAY STANDS FOR THE CONNECTION OF THE MATERIAL (me), SOCIAL (us) AND ECOLOGICAL WORLD (cosmos).
The PACHAMAMA CACAO by SONQO opens the heart: the opening leads into grounded existence, into the contrasts of colorful diversity and into the contradictions of abundance, in order to create the middle way Sumak Kawsay freshly in every moment.

The SPECIAL EDITION box bears the painting “PACHAMAMA – GODESS OF FERTILITY” by the renowned painter Antonio Huillca Huallpa (*1942) from Cusco Peru. It depicts the Peruvian cosmology. Read more about it on the packaging.

celebrate circular culture

In the summer of 2012, Ángel Herrera founded the association “Sonqo Ca Peru” in Cusco to preserve Peruvian cosmology. He and his partner Aline Feichtinger founded sonqo.store gmbh in Switzerland in 2022 and the SONQO association in 2024. These organizations form the basis of the interculturally effective and non-profit “sonqo circular culture”.
THE FLIP SIDE OF THE SWEET CHOCOLATE WORLD IS BASED ON (SELF-)DESTRUCTIVE PROCESSES.
SONQO promotes the reversal of toxically exploitative processes and a commitment to an intercultural circular culture in which our livelihoods are the highest priority and biodiversity is always the winner. In this inclusive culture, all interested parties are welcome who recognize the well-being of their own inner nature and the common outer biodiversity equally. The SONQO COMMUNITY stands for people who, regardless of gender, denomination or political affiliation, want to become active in the name of an intact nature and at the same time are open to learning, exchanging and working and inspiring with their non-profit, unconditional commitment.
SONQO leads by example: the annual net profit of songo.store gmbh flows entirely into the non-profit projects of the charitable IG SONQO.

celebrate farmers
SONQO supports the farmers’ collective CACAO CHUNCHO SYNTROPICO from the Quillabamba region, in the so-called cloud forest at the foot of the mystical Machu Picchu, 700 meters above sea level in the Peruvian Andes. To get an insight into the project development, follow SONQO on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK and THREADS or subscribe to our NEWLSETTER. In Quillabamba, SONQO cooperates with a collective of 40 farming families who have already successfully switched from hybrid chocolate varieties to the resistant Chuncho variety. They produce your premium Pachamama Cacao.
GIFTS ARE SO WONDERFUL BECAUSE THEY COME FROM THE HEART.
The SONQO COMMUNITY celebrates farming families with various projects:
- In 2025, Quillabamba will also be home to a seminar center with the necessary infrastructure will also be built in Quillabamba in 2025, where farming families, as well as interested parties from Europe, can live and participate in the projects (Syntropic Jungle Care training courses, cocoa care and harvesting). The seminar center will be an important place for the farmers’ collective to network and exchange knowledge.
- In 2025, Quillabamba will be home to a plant house will be built in Quillabamba, where original seeds will be collected and stored. The small plants will be cultivated there so that they can later be planted in the jungle.
- Training of the farmers’ collective in Syntropic Jungle Care
- Infrastructure for the farmers’ collective and the manufactory
- In Quillabamba, the farmers’ collective is also creating a Cacao Chuncho Experience Center. It will give interested parties an insight into the cocoa factory, where they can learn how premium cocoa is made. IG SONQO is supporting the project with ideas, advice and funding.
celebrate reforestation
Another of SONQO’s charitable projects is located in Pucallpa, in the rainforest associated with the largest Amazon region in the world. Pucallpa is located in northern Peru at 150 meters above sea level. To gain insight into the project development, follow SONQO on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK and THREADS or subscribe to our NEWSLETTER. In Pucallpa, 30 hectares of burnt wasteland are being completely reforested in the spirit of Syntropic Jungle Care. Research projects for Syntropic Farming and training courses for farming families and interested parties from Europe are being set up in a further 80 hectares of intact virgin forest.
