Are you spontaneous too?

The last blog was about the YES to aliveness, the YES that was there at the original moment of birth.

This yes to liveliness comes from a deep primal force that we reflect on when we give ourselves completely to the moment like a child at play. These are wonderful moments. And so the thought often arises of simply wanting to be just as spontaneous, wild and free as a child again – do you know that too?

However, there is a great illusion behind this wish. At least in this life, we will never again be a child or the baby we were at the moment of birth. We are adults! What characterizes that?

A baby mind does not yet have mature emotional intelligence: it is biased by basic needs and emotions and cries when it is hungry or needs closeness. It is virtually fighting against everything unpleasant in order to be happy.

A child’s mind is already developing strategies: The child learns that it can create its own happiness. And so it adopts sophisticated procedures and manipulations to achieve its goals, indeed to avoid bad emotions and create good ones. Their emotional well-being is still very dependent on external circumstances.

My heart and your heart are ancient friends. While on the surface of the ocean, like waves, all the worldly divisive stories surface, in the depths of the water, we remain eternally CONNECTED IN HEART.

An adult mind learns that every moment has two units: In the first moment, we experience an emotion through external influence. And the second moment is crucial. Can I pause, can I turn the emotion into a feeling by looking inwards and be with the feeling? Feeling frees me from the worldly, separating stories and I can act wisely again from the wisdom of connectedness on the outside.

And so, time and again, the SPONTANEITY We need to be immediately ready in the everyday moment to be adventurous and move from the separating emotion to the connecting feeling on the path inwards. Even when we would much rather cling to the stories on the outside – or precisely then! What is the easiest way to learn this spontaneous surrender to ourselves? – Through various forms of meditation, for example.

Let’s practice meditation 🙂 see you soon!
