HUMOR SEPARATES & CONNECTS

Our humor is shaped by our family of origin, culture, circles of friends and much more. It can strengthen a bubble, create exclusion and separation or act as a reconnection to bliss.

Humor is very personal and can be very different. From the perspective of the 5-element theory, “emotionally motivated” humor primarily has these five divisive forces, which can have a destructive effect:

RAUM-ELEMENT
Resentment and schadenfreude: we lack the generosity and serenity to allow others to make mistakes or experiments and learn from them.

EARTH ELEMENT
Laughing at and judging others. Humor creates hierarchies and judges who knows and is loved and who knows less and is condemned. In doing so, we abandon our own inner peace of mind.

WIND-ELEMENT
This humor creates comparisons (e.g. you used to do that better!) and uses verbal exaggerations. It separates us from gratitude and the acceptance of being fully present in the present moment.

FIRE ELEMENT
The humor is cynical and contempt is evident. We are unable to be patient and feel compassion.

WATER-ELEMENT
This humor is based on running gags that reinforce and solidify structures, concepts and connections. Fear is evident here and creative power is limited.

WELL-BEING HUMOR
This humor comes from inner serenity (space), from peace of mind (earth), from deep love (wind), from compassion (fire) and is creative (water) at the same time. It comes from the deepest humanity, with an open heart it frees us from the carousel of thoughts, conditioning and structures. This benevolent humor is a reconnection to our soul’s original state of bliss.

Hand on heart – we wish you a humorous start to spring with moments of goodwill.
